Website question

Hey guys!! Have a quick question for everyone. Was curious what is the best place I can get a free site? I just need something basic, I need it to have a basic message board, a calendar, and the site be password protected.

I have a tripod account now, but it doesn't allow me to have the calendar within the password protected area and the popups are insane.

Hosting a website is about making money. So if you aren't willing to pay, then advertisers will. Just like anything else- you get what you pay for.

I use godaddy.com for myself and several clients.

They're very cheap if youre looking for a personal site- then you dont have to screw with ads, popups, etc. And you get a lot of storage and "free" software apps with their hosting too.
Definitely recommend..

I use yahoo hosting just because it's simple. It costs a little more than a lot of services, but it's easy and relatively problem free.

I don't think GoDaddy is ver easy to use personally. Just my opinion.

Autumn, does your ISP allow you to have a free website? Many do.

Comcast for example does, and also has the option of password protection on selected pages and directories.

Term is right, though - GoDaddy has some incredible rates
