I know I would. Most of our dispatchers have no spine, and if they attempt to show any spine, it's ripped out of them.

Although I have to admit, I'd love to have gone to a call like that. That's one of them calls, before I even got there, I knew I'd get another piece of paper in my file because of it.

By our policy, our communicators would have to send us that call. That's when I when I would have to tell them how stupid they are and take the complaint.

I have to admit - I kinda like voicing these calls - it's the kind you can kinda allow disgust/sarcasm to bleed through.

Dude, I would have loved to get that call. I love shoving it down stuffy soccer moms throats when they deserve it. Luckily I work someplace where I won't automatically draw a complaint for it.

Well, we also have a penal code for 911 abuse, just in case!

We also pull the non-emergency number card - advising them that as it's a civil situation, they can call the non-emergency number if they want a deputy.

Most people just want to vent.
