Poem for all LEO
I have been where you fear to go...
I have seen what you fear to see...
I have done what you fear to do...
All these things I've done for you.
I am the one you lean upon...
The one you cast your scorn upon...
The one you bring your troubles to...
All these people I've been for you.
The one you ask to stand apart...
The one you feel should have no heart...
The one you call the man in blue...
But I am human just like you.
And through the years I've come to see...
That I'm not what you ask of me...
So take this badge and take this gun...
Will you take it? Will anyone?
And when you watch a person die...
And hear a battered baby cry...
Then so you think that you can be
All those things you ask of me...?

And Shepards we shall be,
for thee, My Lord, for thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy Command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls will it ever be.
In Nomine Patris, Et Filli, Et Spiritus Sancti.

it's highly unlikely that I could.
and yes the poem was nice, on a nice emotional way of writting....I'm sure i have more than a few poems written in this style...and yes, i can "feel" the feelings of the writer* touching* truthful*
(exits to go admire her own poems now)you remind me so much of the ground. I'd love to walk all over you.

Yes it is a nice poem, since when is it a "style"? to have feelings?
I'm not so sure I would want to read your poems, becuase I can't see how a
style can change when it comes to what the Police do, putting their lives on the line to save our asses, when some of us don't even deserve it..
a poem comes from your soul, heart, tears, NOT A "STYLE" mabe you should look the word "Poem" up...

Every time I read this poem. one person comes to mind, a friend who has bad dreams of a call he got.
But it really goes for all LEWe don't get old, we get distinguished....the reason we don't get old is because we refuse to grow up!
