When did your kid ask about the birds and the bees
Ok. So my 8 year old step-son asked today where do babies come from.... He told us he wanted to talk about it at dinner time, because that is when all families talk about it????
So here I am making dinner thinking about what to tell him. Any suggestions??? Also when did your kid ask about the birds and the bees. (Brad is not allowed to answer since he is still a virgin.) Also Bosco you may want to pay attention, as you could learn something

My daughter was 6 or so, and I handled it in a very blunt manner. No embarassment or anything, just the facts and honestly answering her questions. I think handling it any other way (euphamisms, etc) only do a disservice to the child. However, I'd wait till AFTER dinner for the discussion.
IMO, if they're old enough to ask the question, they're old enough for the honest and correct answers. Mine's 12 now, and has no problem asking me the "tough" questions because she knows she'll get straightforward answers and doesn't need to be embarassed about her curiosity.\\` ` ` ` < ` )___/\

My son was around the same age when he asked that question, whilst I was driving him to a friend's house. Like Ducky, I answered him straight.........I thought I'd handled it pretty well, until he'd thought about it and exclaimed "Well, that's horrible, I'M NEVER DOING THAT!!" I damned near ran the car off the road whilst trying not to laugh. He's 19 now and I have had occasion to remind him of that conversation!

We're suppose to tell our kids?
Just kidding, My son was about 7 or 8 and I had a male friend talk to him about it.
I am now wondering what exactly was said, because my son will be 27 in 3 months, and he is not married nor have any kids.
He recently told me that he is almost 30 and wants to start a family. So I think his g/f will sometime soon be his wife and I will sometime soon be a grandma
I'm not sure if I'm ready for grandmahood..I'm still enjoying motherhood. lolWe don't get old, we get distinguished....the reason we don't get old is because we refuse to grow up!

Get him a 40 oz and a good cigar; sit him down in front of the big screen and put in some good ol '70s porn. Then discuss whatever 'pops up.'

Geez, you'd think with the internet and all of the computers around, kids would have stumbled on to the truth on their own.

Yeah, I know what you mean. My wife trains and breeds horses. She's hit some strange sites when she's researching stallions and mares.
