So my new office is located in a not so nice part of town. Three times last week, when I left work (at 12:00 midnight) I was pulled over when a cop wanted to know what I was doing back there. (Note, you cannot see my office from the street) A flash of my work ID settled this, and off I went.

Tonight, Im sitting here at my computer, watching the Falcons get their asses kicked by the Saints, and here comes a knock at the door. It was one of the officers that had pulled me over! I invite him in and ask what was going on. He said that since I am in the office so late, he was just checking on me.

I thought this was a nice gesture to see a beat cop interested in what was going on on his beat. Good on him. I think I will be sending a nice letter to his Chief.

This just further reinforces my belief, that Metro Alanta has some of the best cops on the planet.

It's always good to hear of an officer doing their job well. It seems as though getting to know the public on a one-on-one basis has declined over the years. I think that writing a letter to the Chief would be an excellent idea for you, just to show him what a great job that particular officer is doing.
