Thinking...
Hate it when I do that.My head ends up hurting. I was faced with an interesting dilemma the other night. My wife, God bless her, has a different set of values than I do. I was kind of chuckling when I read how the SERT in Lakeland, Fla. popped that idiot 110 times. My reaction was "good, bastard deserved it." My wife came over to see what I was reading and said "that's not cool" and walked away all disgusted. I handled this reaction with my normal calm patience. I sat, stirred, chewed on it, then exploded. Thankfully, my wife is used to my Irish temper and continued on with what she was doing as she explained why she was upset.See, the way she sees it was this...
If the future shitheads read that some guy gets popped 110 times by SERT that means the future shithead is going to be more desperate. If he is more desperate, he might shoot me to get away. She doesn't like that idea. She doesn't mind the fact that they put the guy down, just scares her that some ass monkey is going to think that is a good reason to resist or be "gangsta".
Nice to have someone worried about you like that, ya know? And Shepards we shall be,
for thee, My Lord, for thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy Command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls will it ever be.
In Nomine Patris, Et Filli, Et Spiritus Sancti.

Just tell her that there are alot of us just like you that are glad the p.o.s. got his ass smoke checked, and that we will watch your ass when she can't. See you in the trenches.
Meanwhile, fishing in Russia:

and its lovely

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion
