Welcome to my Crappy Kind of Winter-Wonderland...
...where no one can drive, EVERYONE wants an accident report, and they're all morons.
Crappy sleet/snow mix. Bah.

Heh, if I wasn't on my way to a BS hit and run that was pending for 10 minutes, I would have cared. Well, okay...not really.

Actually, Your Highness, if you LOOK at the 2nd pic you can see snow falling.
BUT...you demand, *sigh*, I comply.

Well, at least it's real weather!
We get drizzle here, and CHP stops taking non-injury reports altogether - too many injury accidents to respond to.

On the way to work this morning, I had two different people try and take two separate corners of my car off for me. And it was just raining here. I think maybe stupid falls to new levels here, especially as the first one tried it right in front of a county deputy, but he didn't see it, or at least he figured I was wearing my big girl panties today and could deal.
At any rate, going straight from a turn lane (idiot one) and trying to force me into incoming traffic when his lane suddenly (with clearly marked signs) ended (idiot two) are both rather rude and NOT the way to start my day. Endangering the DuckyMobile is a great way of immediately pissing me off.
So how was you guys' days?

That's the type of weather I get to look forward to when I move out that way?
It's gotta be better than 120 degrees with no wind.

Yup, had that fun last week. Got 5 inches. Sick for October.

So I picked up an OT shift 1500-1900. Was fine until about 1815. Then we handled (we being me and 2 shift partners), in addition to our call load, 5 wrecks. Wasn't there much longer...only an hour later than planned. Meh. I had maybe a half inch of snow on my POV at about 1800 in the lot after a whole day of kind of crappy weather. I swept 5 inches off at 2015 when I was going home, and it was still coming down. The thick wet kind that smothers EVERYTHING. Worst part? It was fricking 75 degrees on dayshift yesterday! Sometimes I hate this fickle weather state.
See Katie? Be careful what you wish for...this is all your fault.

Hey bro, sorry to hear you were working in that shit today. I was thrilled to be off... Nothing worse than working in the first snow of the season with Colorado drivers (though I did have to drive through downtown in rush hour, it sucked). Just be glad we don't do our work in the mountains... Last I heard they were still calling for 16+ inches in some high elevation areas!
