LEF vs O.com
I have to say that in the short while I have been visiting this forum, I find I enjoy it more and more each time. I used to go to Officer.com before I knew of this forum. Let me make this clear, i have nothing negative to say about O.com, i met some good officers and trading partners, but I found the site was bland, and I found you could not verify the real Peace Officer's from some of the imposters out there. I have found this site, to be fresh, with good members and good moderators, i have made some excellent trading partners and had some great chats with other members. All in all I think this site is proabably the best LEO/CO site I have seen on the net, I attribute that to good moderators and good members. Please accept an attaboy from HNB. Thanks for your time.

I have plenty of negative things to say about O.com- but it's late and I don't want to get my blood pressure up. I mainly go to O.com every so often- not nearly as much as I do here.

Now really where else can you find the following?
-someone who thinks he's a vampire
-someone who thinks all in LE are nazis
-the most stupid questions a human can come up with
-questions that a five year old might ask but it's an adult asking
-badge bunnies in denial
-c...watch regulars
-posers
-know-it-all kids that don't
-people that get speeding tickets on a regular basis and are proud of it
-sportbikers club
-soon to be lef members (because they had enough of the above)

Police Officers put themselves at risk for strangers every day. Some do not make it home to their families. Next time you think of saying something negative about the police, remember...YOU are one of the strangers.

Like you, I really don't have anything bad to say about O.com. I like it here for many reasons, mainly I don't get put into time out for 4 letter words on a pic
and other really bullshit offenses that should not even exist. I think that O needs more in a way of "promoting" a community and not just appeasing a select few.
As for a law enforcement "community", this place rocks. This place runs more like a business with perks and not a free for all/troll fest. (I play on both sides of the fence
)There is not really a "place" for me here yet, but I hope there will be over time. In the meantime I will continue to harass fscf3801 in Pm's with some pretty scary hoo hoo pics.

I've never been to O.com, I know hard to believe huh??
Might have to go check it out just to see what everybody is talking about.

I just know that I never had a dream about o.com, but counting the one I had last night, I've had three about this place. Last night, everyone was making their way to an LEF gathering in NC and stopped by my place on the way there. The neighbors weren't happy with me because I flooded the neighborhood with cops, and I wound up being too broke to finish the trip with everyone else.
But it was good to see everyone, and at least my house was clean.

There are some people I really like and admire Over there, so I still make regular visits.
There are also people that pretend to be more then they are, and the calling out seems to be based on whim and whimsy.
For instance, I'm much more offended by someone who continues to pose as a marine, then say someone who posts articles that highlight the moral short-comings of sworn peeps.
This place is heads and shoulders above them all.

This place is the mall? I'll be over at Brookstone snoozing in the massaging lounge chairs, just like the fat lady did next to me at the one at Caesars in Vegas!
Seriously, though I agree. Nothing bad about O, but I like the idea of it being by and for cops, knowing most here are verified and not posers, and the atmosphere is warm and fuzzy too. I just like it better and havent been back since. There are only two kinds of real justice left: street and poetic...

I appreciate the kind words. Brad and I put a lot of hard work into this site, without knowing if it would really take off or not. We don't offer the same product as O.com so we are not really competition.
Everyone here has their on little niche here, and we appreciate each and every member on this site.

I totally agree. I was a member of O.com before I became a member here and I've found that I regularly come here now and only check O.com from time to time. The members here are much better. Great stuff LEF, keep it up!

There are too many people at o.com that are merely posing as cops. I was a regular there for a couple of years and finally got my belly full of it. Some come on pretty good, but reading their posts over time, you realize they're lying through their teeth. With no verification system you get that.

Ah but your bouts with Retired were legendary!
O.Com was OK for a while there but once the Stunt Bikers took over and the anonymous Admin wouldn't lift a finger, the place soon became a joke.
That Wolverine guy was good for a few laughs though...
P.S. The California section on O.Com still has some good information in it but that's pretty much the only thing I read on there any more."To the German commander: 'Nuts!' The American Commander" - General Tony McAuliffe, 101st Airborne Division
