trading section -- need your input

I’ve asked these two questions of the powers that be.

Could we possibly get a trading section for folks that trade patches, badges etc?

Would it be worth it?

What do you all think; would there be enough support?

Would you list what you have and what you want?

Would it be lively enough with continued action and support?

Please reply; both pro and con so they can make an informed decision.

I think it's a great idea for all member of the board. A for sale section could be a great addition to LEF! I can see myself putting it to good use, atleast...

So, is there an etiquette to this?

I've never presumed to ask for patches, because I wasn't sure if I could get patches from my department to offer as trade.

When my son first said he wanted to be a fire-fighter, a friend of mine gave him several FD patches. Now he wants to be a police officer, and I'd love to add to his collection.

I'm in. But we need to be careful with the Badge trading. Make badge trading threads visible to Leo's only or something? Patches could be traded a little more openly, although some discretion is still advised. Some departments will give patches away to anyone who asks.

I have high ambitions for patch and badge collecting, but don't have much that I can trade in return. At least for me, the patches I have seem quite common when i've tried trading before. We need to set up some sort of gearpay account so we could sell them if a trade cannot be arranged, perhaps...

I just went to two funerals for leo's this week and met leo's from all over. different counties/states. afterwards while at local gin mill this subject came up and i was asked for patches and other PD insignia... what a coincidence that this thread came about. Im in. Im already to start trading. PM me ..
