For Jenna (And all the rest of you)

Jenna, I wish this was enough to "fix" the world.

I caught a couple seconds of that on Oprah the other day.

    It's a nice thought, but I probably wouldn't hug a stranger.

I'd hold the sign, then knee them in the groin and run. It's a flawless plan for world domination.

What I like about it, is that it is one guy trying to something to make the world a little friendlier. No matter how small.

More thoughts on this later.. have to run!

I have seen and heard about this before. I probably would not hug a complete stranger, but that also depends on the situation. The idea behind it is a pure one, simply to unite a disconnected society. I wish that were enough to "fix" the world too CSB. I also agreed with your statement on trying to make our world friendlier by even the smallest gesture.

Absolutely. That's why I said it is a nice thought. I can definitely appreciate what he's doing... and that he's actually getting a good response.

Just don't do it in St. Louis. Your hug might turn into a dry hump before you realize.

I cant stand the way people smell....

so i cant see myself doing this lol

    We dallied under
    Vine maples and sapling alders
    Searched for lady slippers
    But instead
    Found blackberry riots and
    Desiccated branches

    An old skid road
    Brought ghost ferns and
    Hollows filled with
    Skunk cabbage
    While waves wrapped
    Intricate lacings of weeds
    'Round mule spinners

    His cyanotic eyes
    Were hard enough to make
    The sun turn tail and
    Tender enough to attract me
    To his world of illusion

So wait... you'd be the one dry humping everyone instead of hugging?

It's a sign of affection. Why are you mocking me?

Sorry, it's a perfectly respectable act. My apologies. I'd give you a make-up hug, but... well, you kinda creep me out doing that to my leg.

    I'd hug a stranger.

I'm just waiting for the hot chick to hold up the "free BJs" sign....

It's a nice thought but I don't think I'd hug a stranger. It would be cleaner than a handshake, though.

Hugs and waves are two things that can convey so many different emotions.
