NFL- Week 14
NFL- Week 14 predictions
Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Cleveland is fresh off an improbable win last week, but don't expect lightning to strike twice. I'll take the Steelers.
Atlanta Falcons vs. Tampa Bay Bucanneers
Atlanta has lost 3 in a row, and needs win to stay "on the bubble" in the playoff picture. I'll take a desperate Atlanta team, and their middle finger waving quarterback.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Kansas City Chiefs
I think this will be a good one. The Chiefs play excellent at home, and the Ravens are looking to bounce back from a Thursday Night Football loss to division rival Cincinnati. The Chiefs are another "on the bubble team" that needs a win here. I'll take the Chiefs in the upset.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Colts are looking to maintain their home field playoff advantage, and the Jaguars are fighting to make it into the playoffs. I'll take the Colts.
Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions
Yawn.
I'll take the Vikings.
New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins
This will be closer than some think, and I think the potential for an upset is here. I'll take the Patriots.
New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers
Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme is questionable. He'd better suck it up and stop throwing interceptions (as I suspect Eli will) or the Panthers are fucked. I'll take the Panthers in a game that has huge playoff implications.
Oakland Raiders vs. Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals have had another player arrested. I'm looking forward to the off season tv special: "Court TV- Bengals edition." I still think they can pull it together against the pathetic Raiders.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Redskins
They may have upset the Panthers last week, but there won't be any upsets here. McNabb may be out, but the Eagles back up QB, Jeff Garcia, is no slouch. I'll take the Eagles.
Tenneessee Titans vs. Houston Texans
Fresh off their upset over the Colts last week, the Titans will carry there energy into this week and beat the Texans.
Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49'ers
With a wild card playoff birth still possible, the Niners need to win at home this Sunday. I'll take the Niners.
Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals
The Seahawks top stars are finally healthy. They'll roll right thru the Cardinals.
Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets
The Bills have a chance to hurt the Jets playoff chances. This should be a good one. I'll take the Jets.
Denver Broncos vs. San Diego Chargers
Should be an intense game, with big playoff implications. I suspect the Broncos will bench Jake "The Snake" Plummer, so I'll take the Chargers.
New Orleans Saints vs. Dallas Cowboys
A big game for both teams. The Cowboys are the hottest team in the league, and are playing at home....which is why I will take them.
Chicago Bears vs. St. Louis Rams
Their is dissention amongst the ranks in St. Louis, and the Bears are sticking by their starting QB Rex Grossman. The Bears will take the Rams.

ummm, far be it for me to take an ill advised swipe at the TERM...but the Broncos benched Jake 2 weeks ago, Cutler started last week, and will be starting again....LOL

It has not been confirmed that Jake Plummer has lost his starting job to Cutler. It is only mere speculation that Cutler will start, although it is 99% likely. That is what I was saying.

gotcha term, living here in denver, I guess from what I have heard since he made his forst start against Seattle last week, there hasnt really been any doubt he will be the starter from now forward, but I understand where you were coming from...told ya I shouldn't have tried...

If it's any consolation, my son (who himself plays college football) is a HUGE Broncos fan. He puts on all his Bronco's apparrel, for every game, and is totally crushed when they lose.
Last Christmas, I bought him a leather Broncos jacket...you'd have thought I gave him a million dollars.
The Chargers, however, are MY team.
GO Chargers...GO Chargers...GO Chargers....

Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Done deal.
Willie Parker set the franchise record for rushing yards in 1 game...221 I think, something like that. Good Pick.
Atlanta Falcons vs. Tampa Bay Bucanneers
Baltimore Ravens vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Chiefs always screw up late in the season. Ravens are just too tough for them to handle. Even though it's at Arrowhead, Steve McNair will lead another one of his epic comebacks.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions
I think Detroit receivers will have a big game on the Viking secondary.
New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins
New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers
Eli is pathetic. He'll never be a Peyton or Archie. With Tom Coughlin's coaching, they're bound to lose.
Oakland Raiders vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Redskins
McNabb out for the season...coming off an emotional high because of last week's upset...I don't think they can pull it off.
Tenneessee Titans vs. Houston Texans
After this game the Texans will regret taking Mario Williams over Vince Young in the draft. Vince Young is the future.
Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49'ers
Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals
Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets
This is a toss up game, but I think the Bills will spoil the Jets playoff hopes.
Denver Broncos vs. San Diego Chargers
I think Jay Cutler will be good...he's Denver's future, but the CHARGERS ROCK!
Whooooo Hooooo! Go Chargers! Go Chargers!
New Orleans Saints vs. Dallas Cowboys
Just because I hate Dallas football--always have and always will.
Toss up here. Two good teams. Drew Brees may have another monster game, and the president (Mr. Bush) came of age last week with his 4 TD's. I pick the Saints.
Chicago Bears vs. St. Louis Rams
The Rams will pull an upset. Write it down....17-10...my prediction.
Bear's QB sucks. They've won their division, and yeah, there's homefield advantage, but Rams are a sleeper team in NFC. Bears just lost Alex Brown on the line, and coupled with the earlier loss of former Nebraska standout and current Bear's Pro Bowler, Mike Brown (IMHO the best strong safety around), I just don't think they're gonna pull this one off. Besides...Rams are one of the teams I always pull for...I pick the Rams.Last edited by phoenixrose; 12-09-06 at 11:28 PM.

A woman who likes football, SAWEEEET!!!! I'd like to change my pic if not too late, as I just found out the Panthers Starting Quartberback Jake Delhomme is pussying out, and not playing. Starting will be Chris Weinke.

Giants have too many problems
If I'm remembering right, Weinke won the Heisman (sp?)...I don't know...there's potential there.
I'm gonna stick with the Panthers.
LOL...when my son was in 5th grade, I figured out he had a reading comprehension problem. He is a TOTAL sports freak, so I subscribed to three sports magazines. We used to read a lot together, and talk about it.
Now, he's on a football scholarship for a small Nebraska college...played quite a bit this year, even as a frosh. VERY COOL. I've always been a football fan...yet, the more you learn about a sport, the better it gets....but I still have a lot to learn. My son and I still talk about the teams and players...so I keep up with most of it.
I LOVE football.phoenixrose~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I did not forsee the Dolphins putting a hurtin on the Pats like they did.
At least my Steelers won."Sometimes people need a little help. Sometimes people need to be forgiven. And sometimes they need to go to jail."
