I read it several weeks ago..great stuff. It was the first of his books I've read.
Ya know, for the readers on here it would be great to figure out a way to trade books cheaply. No idea how much mailing a paperback would cost in dollars or trouble.
I've read all of his books. The first, "The Blue Knight" is a classic.Quote:

Mass market paperbacks typically cost right around $2 to mail, media rate. Trade paperbacks hit around the $3 mark, and hardcovers vary in size so much it's hard to estimate without a weight. It would be just about the same you'd pay at any halfway decent used bookstore, maybe a hair less. I'm not including flea market finds in that group as mostly what they carry is only good enough to line birdcages with (falling apart, stinks, etc.) As far as trouble, it's not really. Postage can either be paid by the person who wants it (via paypal or the like,) sent ahead with a prepaid, self addressed stamped envelope, or done like a 'pay it forward' where the person sending it picks up the bill. You can print the postage on the computer through the www.usps.com or take it to the post office to mail. No real big sweat either way. I'd say if you guys are serious, then start a thread for books to trade in the trading section.Quote:
