I'm really surprised someone hasn't done something like that in real life - Post-9/11 I occasionally make it a hobby looking at security flaws in various places around here that are supposed to be secure, and concluded that the lessons really haven't sunk in.
For example a utility facility that had an elaborate security system, keypad gate, cameras, and all that I found to be completely missing a section of ungarded fence where they had done some construction. I went back a week later and it was still missing. I mentioned it to a cop I was talking with at a nearby rec center, and he said yeah, we told them about that a year ago.
It's still missing.
Where I work, they put up heavy pipe fencing and concrete barriers to guard against truck bombs - But all a truck bomb would have to do is follow an employee vehicle in thru the parking lot gate and go around to the side where there are no barriers. The gates are so slow and heavy that they take 30 seconds to close. Anyone sitting in the parking lot across the road with a pair of binoculars could access the situation.
Another interesting tidbit is that employees are prevented from carrying guns into the facility, yet visitors are not - I've seen guards let salesmen in with rather large sample and equipment cases without searching them - Would be perfect size to hide some AK's, bomb, or just about anything else. During yellow alerts, the only noticable difference is that you have to show your badge as well as run it thru the badge reader, and they close one of the parking lot exits. I feel safer already, just talking about it

Once I told my PD some stuff they were doing too... they did start overlapping their shifts afterward, so every cop in the city wasn't in the briefing room near the front of the building at the same time an hour before school lets out - I have no idea whether that was because of the scenario I came up with or not, but it's a pretty no-brainer not to ever have all your eggs in one basket.

Well, Edgar is taking an eternal dirt nap, so I'm guessing that it'll be some charactor a little more integral to the plot that bites it tonight.
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

If I remember correctly from last week, only 3 rooms could be sealed off (and poor Edgar - if he had laid off the donuts, he might have been able to make it to safety!).
Didn't the previews for this week show that some (or all) of those rooms were leaking?

I'd kinda like to see the guy played by Sean Astin taken out of the picture. The way they'll do it is that he will redeem himself by saving everyone while sacrificing his life. Any bets?

Well, looks like Lyn will be taking that dirt nap with Edgar.
Damn, lots of dead bodies tonight, and the worst part is, Kim is STILL alive!
She's such a bitch!
