Harry Potter - Order of the Phoenix
Just saw the movie - it was great!
Despite the challenge, the movies continue to capture so much of the wonder of the books.
The actors keep growing into their characters.
The special effects/design team have again created a fully realized world, and new creatures and characters make an appearance.
Our local movie critic (who hates everything) declared this the best installment, in what should be regarded as the best movie series ever made. Did I mention he hates everything?
As with all movies made of books, there are details that have not made it to the movie - it doesn't detract from the film - but there are some characters who don't really get "explained" in the movie.

I hope so. I enjoyed the book. My favorite book as Prisoner of Azkaban, but the movie version sucked. I'm a Harry Potter geek, so I'll probably go watch it.

I get the copies in a couple days before they're released, and have to sign away my first born's soul if I do anything more than look at the sealed boxes before midnight.

I'm a big Harry Potter fan, but I've been slacking. I never got around to buying the 4th movie to watch it. I'll probably get the book when the funds in my checking account will allow it. I have a birthday in 4 days (the 15th) so maybe I'll get enough birthday money to get it
or not, it's my 21st.... hahaha

That does seem rather backward. I'm going to read the next book first, then have a back to back night with the movies sometime in the future.

hate to differ but i thought that the movie left actually left out to much of the book. it was one of the longest, if not the actual longest, book in the series but one of the shorter movies. it was still a real good movie i just felt like it could have had more added to it.

I thought it was pretty good. Probably the most faithful to the book since Chamber of Secrets.
I thought that lady that played Delores Umbridge did a great job- her protrayal was pretty much spot on for what they had in the book. I think the girl playing Luna Lovegood was a little too pretty for her role. I imagined Luna beeing more geeky-awkward than the crazy-sage.
Another thing that irked me was they really didn't give too much background on Tonks. You see her hair changing color and she is shapeshifting, but you really don't get a reason why. So if you hadn't read the book, you'd have been lost.
Overall, though, a pretty good movie."If everyone is thinking alike, then someone isn't thinking." -Gen. George S. Patton

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

I don't like Harry Potter so I won't be seeing it.
I loved Lord of the Rings but Harry doesn't do it for me.

Best movie ever 300!!!!Just because your sign off after you're shift is done, doesn't mean that it's over and put blinders on. You're a cop 24/7 wether you like it or not. If thats something you can't handle, you should find a new line of work!

I will probably be seeing it to appease my wife. I actually don't mind it though but wish she would go and see some of my favorite movies, like 300. I will have to admit, she did let me go and see that one with a friend of mine and his son. Total guys night out.
