Illiy total different show filmed in Louisiana following rookies after Katrina. One was killed in the line a month after the crew left.

I will have to catch that one - I completely missed the Academy

I've been wondering when they're gonna make a Katrina movie about what the police went through too - There's a lot of stories out there, so why haven't they put it all together?

... But then I'm still waiting for a GOOD movie about Iraq and Afganastan - Jarhead sucked.

I can't believe the movie studios have ignored all this - They're too busy making remakes of old TV shows and comic books

I would venture to guess it's with the same Sheriff's Department, beings that the two recruits they showed are two that were separated from recruit class they showcased before.

Yep, same department, next class I believe. I feel sorry for the dude who is going to the academy for the third time.

I enjoyed it a lot and thought they did a good job of telling the story without giving aways any tactics.

And it brought back MANY memories of standing on that grinder.

My neighbor is a deputy down for LA....he was there during the taping for last season...just brought me a t-shirt the recruits had to wear in the beginning of show....it was a t-shirt in remembrance of an officer killed in the line of duty. Very cool

I was at academy today and MAN..i sure dont miss all that screaming in my face. Still makes me feel ill to my stomach to just watch it.
