Take me out to the ballgame, take me out to get a loan....
Okay, so I know times change and others have complained before.
But last night I went to a Cleveland Indians game for the first time in probably 6 years. I wasn't looking forward to it due to the people we were going with, but luckily it turned out to be a better time than expected.
I know things are normally a little pricey when you go to a game, but when I opted to have a traditional beer and hot dog I about fell over when it was ten bucks for the combo.
First vendor walks up the aisle with beer, sporting a "Bud Light 3.50" pin. I yell for a beer, he pours and passes, then asks for 7 freakin bucks....I told him he needs a new pin, since the one he was wearing was apparently from 1975. Nonetheless I drank my 7 dollar beer with a smile since I was out to a game with my wife and friends. The hotdog for 3 bucks wasn't bad, but I can't believe the friggin price of a beer at a game. Anyone else think this is absolutely ridiculous?? Or am I just a crybaby? lol
Overall it was a great time, got to watch an awesome game won in the bottom of the 9th with a tie-breaking solo shot homer to left field. The place shook and everyone went nuts. Afterwards we hung out for fireworks night and then made our way home.
