It's based on a series of books, the title character is a forensics analyst for a police department (Miami-Dade), but he's also a serial killer.
Here's the Showtime link.

Seems like a great show. The cool part is he only kills the criminals who get off in court.

One of the best shows on currently, IMO. Showtime has a free weekend going on currently if you want to check it out.

It was excellent! If you have the time to do so, rent the first season on DVD.

Great show...along with Weeds, Rescue Me, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The Closer on my tivo list. Very interested to see what they make out of the "underwater graveyard" they find.

I feel like a semi-hypocrit watching a tv show about a lady who goes into the weed selling biz..but the show is good, so I can get off my high(brid) horse for a half-hour a week and enjoy the entertainment value of the illegal drug trade.

I haven't watched "Weeds" yet, but I'll check it out. I do like "Curb Your Enthusiasm," the new season of that just started a couple of weeks ago.
HBO's "Tell Me You Love Me" is pretty good. I recorded NBC's "Journeyman" because sounded interesting but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

The first episode of Journeyman was confusing as hell... The second made more sense. I'm up in the air about it; neat idea, but right now there doesn't seem to be a lot of continuity to it. We'll see how long it lasts... and if it makes more sense as it goes on!

Dexter's a great show. The first season was great, anyway. Haven't watched the premiere of season 2 yet but it's somewhere on my list of things to do.

Because of this thread, and boredom during some recent downtime, I bought Dexter season 1 on DVD. The show is simply AWESOME! I liked it so much that I stayed up all night and watched the entire season in one shot. (I guess that's one way to switch for day and night tours) I read the plot summaries ahead of time and it ruined the plot a little, but the show was still excellent. I can't get Showtime here, so I'll probably buy season 2 when it comes out on DVD.
I saw a demo of Weeds. It was the first show of the second season, and it was hilarious. Now I plan on buying the first 2 seasons of Weeds on DVD.
For anyone interested the Dexter season 1 DVD set is on sale at Amazon, Best Buy and Barnes & Noble for $25."never bring paws to a gunfight" - Jenna
