The Official NCAA Football Championship Thread (Ohio State vs. LSU).....

So, who is going to win this year's championship game? Why?

I vote for LSU. While they have shown a weakness in winning close games, I don't think Ohio State has ever seen anything comparable to LSU's speed.

Even though I was born and raised 1/4 mile from the Ole Miss campus (and worked LE in the same area for 9 years), which has given me a great disdain for drunken fans, I still have to root for any SEC team when they play a non-conference asshole.

So, I pick LSU by 10.

LSU healthy and firing on all cylinders = what happened to VaTech. I don't like LSU but I will give credit where credit is due. They are the most talented team from top to bottom right now. If the LSU D shows up Ohio St scores no more than 10 points. The fact that it is a defacto home game for LSU seals the deal.

I think it was time for Michigan to get a new coach. He did a real good job with West Virginia and I think he'll bring a new look to Michigan. I'm a Buckeye fan but I just love any good college football game. I just want to see the Big Ten step up this year in the bowl games. This year the SEC did to each other what the Big Ten has done for years, the only difference is they attribute it to SEC strength of schedule while they think the Big Ten teams just can't make it in their own conference. If nothing else this season has shown that any one team can beat another on any given day.

I am a diehard USC Trojan fan! But, I must say that the number one team in the nation this year should be the University of Hawai'i. They are the only team to finish the season undefeated - a fabulous accomplishment!!

I think he will fit the role needed to carry on the tradition that is Michigan Football. He is a well respected coach with an impressive history with WV. I expect good things to come. I personally think the change is over due.

As much as it pains me to agree with an OSU fan, I have to say you are right.... but just this once.

I'll wait to see how they fair against Georgia before I make a comment about how good or bad they are. They do have a good offense, but I agree with Five-O, they haven't played anyone. Hell,.. Louisiana Tech took them to OT.
