Brett Favre to Retire
As a Vikings fan, I hated him. However, I respected the hell out of his talent and what he brought to the game of football.
Good luck, Brett! The views expressed in the above post are the sole opinion of the author and do not reflect any official position by the author's employer and/or municipality.

Who?He who has the money, signs the cheques.
He who signs the cheques, makes the rules.
He who makes the rules, has the power.
He who has the power, has the money.

I had begun to like the guy. I hope he has all but luck in the future. The Packers will definitely suffer without his talent.May you rest in peace Daddy and may you never hurt again. I love you and miss you and can't wait to see you again.

I hate to see him go. I am in shock right now. My buddy told me this when I was talking to him this morning. I didn't believe him and had to hang up the phone. I am trying to find the positive and yet am hopeful that he will decide to return. There is so much speculation surrounding his decision. I don't know what to believe until I hear it from him.
At least he is going out at a good time. You hate to see your childhood sports heroes stick around a year or two too long.
He has been an inspiration to all that love the game of football. And to think it all started with a pass to himself.

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
Found blackberry riots and
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

Anyone else see his press conference today? After seeing that, it must have been a tough decision for him.
