Speed Racer!
Boychild and I saw this today, and we both thought it was a great movie!
The racing scenes are very intense!
I think they really captured the 60's cartoon vibe, with big dollops of cheesy gangster, and side-kick shenanigans.
Don't be fooled by John Goodman's "Mario Brothers" appearance, he really brings the Daddy mojo. All the actors dig beneath the cartoon veneer for some real feelings.
It's all about good versus evil, and family, and being true to yourself.
There is no profanity, but a torture scene involving piranhas.Molly Weasley makes Chuck Norris eat his vegetables.

I cant wait to see this flick...speed racer has always been my favorite movie..I have about went broke at Target the past couple of weeks..lol
500 fights, that's the number I figured when I was a kid. 500 street fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate tough guy. You need them for experience. To develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then, after, you realize that's what you are.

We saw it in Imax...totally worth the extra money!

Saw it this weekend and thought it was a very intertaining movie, Laughed alot at the spridel and chim chim stuff. I guess that was the mammoth truck the gangsters were in. It was a good movie.
