Ideas on what to take to increase protein intake after weight lifting
I need to increase my protein intake after weight lifting. Right now I'm eating protein bars and food high in protein. But I need to do more to build the muscle back up.
Any suggestions on what I should do? I'm thinking along the lines of drinking a protein shake or drink, but unsure what kind.

Myoplex is very good. The regular kind is over 40g of protein. I've also used these newer protein shots from a company called "Body Fortress". They are 26g of protein in a 2.9 oz. tube. I think the Myoplex Light has 17g of protein. I've tried Muscle Milk, which had 22g of protein I think, but I didn't care for the flavor. I say Myoplex is the best I've tried so far. But I know there's tons out there that I've not even seen before, let alone tried. Of course there are the protein powders, which are cheaper. But when I'm at the po-po gym, I find it easier to just use the ready made shakes/drinks.
Another thing I sometimes do is drink protein water during a workout instead of just regular water or instead of a carb "sports drink".
I also like taking a multiple amino acid supplement immediately after my workout as well. Glutamine is good to take before and after your workout.
Try searching online for different supplement sites and you might find some excellent deals to save you some money on all your roids! Also it can be a good way to see the almost infinite array of supplements out there.

I have not tried myoplex but I have tried a few others and my current fav is musclemilk. It really tastes ok and blends well with water or milk depending on your fitness goals (bulk up or not). Try the premixed bottles sold almost everwhere here in S. Florida and than the risk is less for you to purchase the 50 dollar barrel and hate it. Also, creatine will help just be careful, research your load and maintenance doses and give it a rest periodically.

Myoplex after my workouts. EAS 17g protein drink before, and [I have found this to be key] one during the workout to keep me going. I workout for an average of 2.5 hours three days a week. The 2.5 hours is always started with 20 min of cardio.

I'm actually getting close to trying meal replacement with the myoplex. My downfall is my off days. When I am at home I want to eat out of boredom. The structure of the work week keeps me on the straight and narrow. Eggs & oatmeal for breakfast, myoplex for lunch + yogurt, sandwich before a workout, and myoplex + EAS drinks during and after the workout.

However, the wife does say I can be an asshole when I don't eat.
