ANYbody still doing crossfit? or is everyone doing p90x?
I have no idea what you're talking about.
Its a workout routine. I know a lot of people who do it and like the results.
I have a buddy doing P90x, says he really likes it.
They do yoga though as a part of it..I dont think I'd like that.
Yoga is awesome, don't knock it until you've tried it. I can still touch my toes with my wrists thanks to some old VHS yoga tape I must have done 10 years ago.
I love P90x. Had to take a break due to my toe, but I'm getting back in it quick. The yoga is hard as fuck!
Should add that P90x is meant for those who have been working out already. If you are just getting into working out, you may not want to try P90x right away.
I used to do P-90X but have found much better results out of practicing Krav Maga, I dropped 10 lbs of fat and built muscle mass not to mention my the ammount of endurance i have gained for a real cqb confrontation has drastically improved. You should look into it. I recommed it to everyone i know that is looking to find a good routine.
Welcome back Wambaugh, thanks for the service.
Problem with Krav Magna is it's not available everywhere. Last time I checked, no one around here teaches it.
I found a woman that is going to record the entire P90X set for me so I can "use it for a trial period" before I buy it. Only charging me $35.
True, Krav Maga is not offered everywhere but you can get on the national krav maga website and it can give you the closest training center. luckily enough the guy in my area offers free for the " Ho-Ass Law" as i seem to be so endearingly called lately (got to love your fans, lol) I have even ordered the the training dvds. those plus a $250.00 Century Body Openent Bag can get you a long way. here is the web addres to the krav web site
Krav Maga Association Of America Inc., Israeli Self Defense
The nearest one is 4 hours from me. I agree that I could just buy the dvds, but I'm rather weary about just practicing on a dummy and not another person. I'd hate to get into some shit only to fuck up and get hurt worse.
I understand completely where you are comming from, I am luck enough to have the managing bouncer of the local gentlemans club as my sparing partner. but i do get alot of practice out of the B.O.B
From my understanding P90X is a type of crossfit, both focus on the core.
I used P90X for awhile but quickly migrated to CrossFit. I like the speed and intensity of CF.
P90X is NOT a variation of crossfit. It is safe to say that the only real similarity that they share is the focus on type of circuit training.
P90X is all about giving you washboard abs (appearance). You may or may not get real strength results.
Crossfit is less concerned with how you look than making you stronger. You will also find that crossfit offers a lot more variation.
