So all you Yankee haters hate the yankees cause they let joe torre go? (and FYI, that wasn't the fans choice)
So that means you haters liked the yankees when joe was the manager?

As a life-long Dodger fan, I've always hated the Yankees almost as much the SF Giants. I hate the club but there have been individual Yankees that I liked and respected for their class or the way they played the game. One was Joe Torre. Others that come to mind are Don Mattingly, Ron Guidry (Louisiana Lightening) , Thurman Munson and Derek Jeter.

Never have liked the SF Giants either, even if they are one of my "local" teams. My in-laws had season tickets back in 94, the year of the last players strike. That's a lot of money to be losing on games that weren't played. It has somewhat soured us on pro baseball to this day. I will root for the Dodgers or the Athletics any day of the week as opposed to the Giants. As for the Yankees? Well, since they are a rival of the Dodgers and they are clear on the other side of the country for me, I go for the local team. Even if they are in Southern California. I root for the A's because we have a local feeder team here in the San Joaquin Valley in Ca that they recruit players from.

Today sucked. When Kuroda screwed up in the 1st it all went down hill from there.
