Well piss, I was ambushed by a surprise birthday party that included ribs. It was all protein, so the treadmill will come after those have settled a bit.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Today I ate pretty healthy (except the cookie at dinner)...did 40 min cardio and worked on my hamstrings so that my post surgery knee will be protected. Not much else to do at the academy.

Well, I'll play. Last night I did 40 minutes on the treadmill--alternated between 4 MPH walk and 8 MPH run. 3 miles total, but I forget how many calories it said I burned...300 and something. Finished it off with 3 sets each of calf raises and leg presses.
So far today I've done 5 chin-ups on a whim. Going back later tonight for calisthenics and plyometrics night, with an ab blast mixed in.

I almost fell prey to this tonight, too. Especially with Red Dawn on G4.
So instead, I went anyway. Treadmill warmup, followed by three circuits of:
Pushups
Pullups
Dumbell Press
Dips
Bicep Curls
Ab stuff (6 30-second intervals of crunches, leg lifts, etc.)
Finished it off with some plyo pushups and box jumps

I took today off. I'm sore all over from the last couple of days. I went to the range, though, so did plenty of up and down, kneeling, etc. Let's call today a "mental health day."
