Dumbbells
I'm looking for a good deal on dumbbells (if anyone tells you it's the same to use the resistance bands, they're lying. All 3 snapped on me during the same workout). I'd prefer the adjustable weight ones, but they're pretty expensive. The best deal I've found is the 5-50lb adjustable ones at Academy for $180. Anyone know of better deals? And yes..I already checked craigslist. I am not willing to give a dude a handjob in his van in exchange for workout equipment.

To be perfectly honest I got my dumbbells at Wal-Mart for pretty cheap compared to anywhere else.

I went to Target and got the Reebok adjustable ones. $60 for each one. They only go up to 25lbs but I'm trying for lean, not bulk.

I want to get the dial-a-weight ones because they take up less space and are cheaper than getting a full set of 5 thru 50s. I was going to get the dumbbell bars with collars and weight plates, but the pace of p90x is so fast that you don't really have time to be constantly changing and adding/subtracting the plates if the weight isn't enough. I found some at Academy for $180....the same ones at Wal Mart for $250, so my decision is an easy one! Thanks for all the help everyone. Originally Posted by jmur5074
