Hello!
I am jumping on the exercise/diet wagon on January 1. Having broken and crushed some bones, the exercise is a challenge. This week I am doing my fasting blood work and will be working on those numbers also.
The diet end of it is going to involve vegetables and fruits for breakfast, lunch and work snacks. A sensible meal at night. (might have to cut out the foie gras)

Scale at Dr's office said 264.8 lbs .. YIKES!!!
More motivation to make my goal. I have also included a few friends at work. So... I will gorge on the rich holiday foods and then get to the task.

Good luck. I don't think I could take the strain of a diet and exercise.

Different results for different people. Some do better with lower fat and other with lower carbs. Don't cut out too much fat. It is what will keep you satisfied. I try to keep fat calories below 20% and don't rely on set number of grams. Nailed it right at 20% today. That means plenty of energy and no hungry feeling.

Those 3 chicken breast samiches were eaten every two hours starting at 10am. With my Droid I can scan bar codes on food packages and most restaurants are listed in the app. I also add in any exercise and daily activities that can offset any food intakes. This has resulted in slow steady weight loss. 3 inches in my waist in as many months.

Ok, Wednesday has come and gone. I am not happy with weigh in and will be making a few adjustments. I consider myself lucky that there are not any veggies or fruit that I do not like.
On a positive note. The oncologist is happy with the ct scan and asked if I wanted to "stretch out" my appointments. I was thinking he was going to say 6 months or so.... no, 4 months with another scan scheduled. grrrrrrr !!!To Live Is To Eat
