I watched it about a month ago when I couldn't sleep and was up ALL night. I caught like 5 episodes back to back. Not too bad.

It is one of my most favorite shows on television. I never miss an episode.

"Rescue Me" rocks - I can't wait for the next season.
The only show on TV that I liked better was NYPD Blue - I've seen every episode of that at LEAST 4 or 5 times, and Rescue Me at least 2 or 3 times
I hope all the characters come back, except maybe for his dumbshit wife - He needs to marry the funny-sounding female fireman so they can make little funny-sounding fire kids

Rescue Me, The Shield, Third Watch, NYPD Blue, the only things I watched on Television. Now it is down to Rescue Me and The Shield.

Tonight's premier was fantastic. I need to go through and watch the first two seasons on DVD, as I only catch the show maybe 2/3 of the time.
They showed a teaser for The Shield. Holy shit...no show, not even Rescue Me, gets me going like that one. I cannot WAIT for season 6!!!!"If anything worthwhile comes of this tragedy, it should be the realization by every citizen that often the only thing that stands between them and losing everything they hold dear... is the man wearing a badge." -- Ronald Reagan, in the wake of the deaths of 4 CHP troopers in the Newhall Incident, 1970

I love rescue me but I have to agree the shield commercial is what I got excited about when I was watching the premier. I love FX, it's the greatest network around without a doubt. The only problem is that it is so long between seasons I forget what happened at the end of the last season. 121 might I suggest a digital video recorder. Since I got mine I haven't missed a thing.

I saw Rescue Me twice last night!
I still can't figure out whether or not the girl died at the end though, or he was seeing ghosts again... Don't tell me, others probably haven't seen it yet

I think it was a dream, maybe will send him into more of a drunk rage.
His ex wife is a complete A$$ hole. I mean he didnt mean for lil conner to get run over and he did TAKE care of it.

I think his ratings would go up if he said more stuff like that about people's wifes, especially Clinton's
But back to the show, yes she's a complete A$$ hole.Last edited by TXCharlie; 06-01-06 at 09:07 PM.

This season's opener was EXCELLENT!
When Denis Leary was asked what he was going to do with the money from the non-smoking pot, he replied: "Buy some Cigarettes..."
I thought I'd near soil myself.
Rescue Me is pretty entertaining, and tends to deal more with personal issues then work issues...a refreshing change from the mindless Generation X shows like "Seinfeld" and "Freinds."
"Police Story" (in the 1970's) and "Hill Street Blues" (In the 1980's) were of the same mindset.

It's on the FX channel... They usually repeat it at various times during the week, but if you set it up on TiVo, watch out for schedule changes.

Rescue Me is a great show! It makes me glad that I'm a Cop and not a fire eater! They have WAY TOO MUCH TIME on their hands and discuss their genitals WAY TOO MUCH! It really show guys being guys, not the P.C. crap on most shows.
