Redneck Olympics organizer threatened with lawsuit by US Olympic Committee for using the term "Olympics"
The U.S. Olympic Committee have ordered the organisers of the Redneck Olympics to rename the event, claiming they do not have the right to use the word Olympics in its title.
Activities at the Redneck Olympics last week included wife-carrying, beer-swilling, bobbing for pigs' feet, toilet-seat horseshoes, lawn mower races, a mud run and a pie-eating contest.
According to Fox, around 2,580 people attended the event in Hebron, which has around 1,000 residents.
But Mr Brooks is defiant and is refusing to change the name as it has been around for 8,000 years.
