Found another way to stay in shape. If I spring for one of these kayaks, I'll be in the market for a wet suit too just to make it a year round toy:

My father who is 60 years old took up Geocashing. He started out just doing normal cashes but got involved with a group that does all kinds. On several occasions he has climbed trees, gone down in tunnles, and even had to use a kayak to get to one on an island. There are even ones that require you to repell or climb cliffs. It is a good out door activity that he has found provides lots of exercise as well as a mental work out at the same time.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Currently I'm gaining weight...
But lifting these weights *should* make that more muscle than fat. I eat every two hours right now, probably over 4,000 kcals a day.
After I stall out on the program I'm on, I plan to hit up Crossfit to lean back down.

I was looking into P90X but for the price I didn't want to be disappointed if it wasn't worth it. And for those of you who work out at home, any good sites to follow for workouts? I've been just mixing it up everytime I work a muscle group but not 100% sure how to go about it. I've been doing 3 sets of about 8 reps for every workout (minus pushups) and trying to make it so the last rep is almost failure. Thanks for all the input so far.
And as others have said, copboy, that's a great attitude to have in your situation.

Crossfit and added heavy weight training. Just stick to something, because something is better then nothing.
Flush em and find em.

The reason they do psych evals
A friend of mine bought me a book of exercise routines for my birthday. Before that, I was either copying workouts from muscle & fitness or adapting workouts that I did back in the academy.
I've thought about P90X, haven't tried it because of the price. I keep hearing good reviews for it, though, so I may cough up the cash one of these months.
I agree with K9Copper, anything is better than nothing. I've been working on putting more variety in my workouts lately.
