Scientists discover a virus that doesn't cause disease in humans can kill breast cancer cells

A virus that infects humans without causing disease kills breast cancer cells in the laboratory.
In earlier studies, the team also showed that AAV2 promotes cell death in cervical cancer cells infected with human papillomavirus (HPV).

I will admit that I haven't read the article, but it sounds interesting. The only thing that I worry about is viral mutation. We're always dealing with the havoc that mutating virii cause...more drug-resistant strains of relatively common diseases, etc. I just hope that there wouldn't be potential for the "safe" virus to mutate into some sort of pandemic. Then again, I'm by no means an expert..or even halfway knowledgeable.
