phone shopping
So I'm due for a new cell phone on this "new every 2" deal. I looked into some so-called cheaper options in using Wirefly, Amazon and similar cites. They seem to have better selection and pricing, but a lot of reviews I have seen are not so hot. Just wandering if anyone has used these vendors, instead of going through your provider.
Thank you.

I haven't verified -- but I was told that Verizon has altered that "New every 2" program, to give you a miniscule credit towards a new phone. Might want to check the details before you go shopping...

The did. Where before you could get a phone for free or $50 after numerous rebates, it's now the same as any contract price, $150 and up. That's why I was looking at these other options, but it still doesn't seem worth the hassle.

I'm just repeating what the guy at Radio Shack said -- but they claim to have better prices than the actual providers do on phones. And -- the week of Thanksgiving, they're all supposed to be offering a top line phone for free each day. He suggested watching their website and jumping on whatever the best deal there is; the stores will match it.

Cool, I sure will. Thanks.

It'll cost some coin but keep an eye out for the new Moto RAZR or the new Samsung Nexus.
