Giants Coach Sends Note to Shot NYPD Officer
That settles it. I know who I'm rooting for tonight!
Quote:
The NYPD officer recovering after being
shot in the head while chasing a suspect last week has received a get-well boost from his favorite team -- a book inscribed with a personal note from Giants coach Tom Coughlin.
"Kevin: We know this is a tough time right now," reads the inscription. "We wanted you to know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers! Small gains, Kevin -- one day at a time! Thanks for your service to our community! Go Giants! Tom Coughlin."
The Daily News
reported Sunday that Coughlin sent the copy of his book, "A Team to Believe In," to recovering officer Kevin Brennan, a huge fan already.
"I didn't think I could be more of a Giants fan than I already was," said Brennan, 29, and a father of a newborn baby.
