Brooke is 20 years old today, but she looks like she’s 3 or 4. She cannot walk. She cannot speak. She is fed through a tube in her stomach and her brain is not much different than that of a 9-month-old baby. She cannot care for herself.Medical experts are baffled by Brooke’s condition. She is the only person known to have what is called "Syndrome X".Doctors say she has no obvious conditions that inhibit growth.
