You won't be disapointed, if you saw Saving Private Ryan and like that your going to love this. It gets you from the begining, and by the end you feel like you were apart of Easy Company.
I red the book a while back, then finally saw the show here the other night. Both are great a must read and a must see!
I grew up in the small town of Toccoa, GA where they trained (Currahee Mountain)...yeah I know. I'm famous now! lol jk
I kept missing bits and pieces the last time it was on, so I rented the series thru Netflix! There are some great extras about how they prepared for the shoot - including a mini boot camp.
Great series, and I also recommend the book for more background on all the men and what they accomplished.
I read Major Winters biography. It was excellent.
have you seen his website?Quote:

Yes I have.
I'll pass this on, this is good stuff!!
Just finished watching it. The best mini series made. Ever.
I don't watch tv, but I did rent it last week. First time I've been able to see it back to back, it was awsome!!!
own it and love it!!!! my wife gets on me because i have watched it so many times and ill watch it again. i cant begin to imagine what was going through their minds at times, like bastogne. and how a person could stay sane.
I have the DVD box set...great series.
Major Winters is a true hero.
The best part about that series is the very begining of each episode, when the original men of EASYCOMPANY are sitting around talking and reliving what they went through all them yrs ago. So any you who are military might agree with me, some of us have been to war and faught for our countries. But we never come close to living through or experiencing the magnatude of what those men went through to servive and to win. Sometimes we complain when out in the desert that they hadn't washed in a couple of days, these guy's went weeks or even months with out a proper wash or shave.
Man, that was a dead giveaway about the UK origins of this post. lolQuote:

They have just started a re run of this great program here in England
it's something that can be watched time and time again.:thumb:
My eldest son was an extra in the series, but being my son he doesn't actually ever appear on screen. He went to wardrobe, got all the gear on and then went to a barn and slept until end of shoot. Easiest money he ever made. :D
