Nope
I was during the first season....
But after that I jumped ship.
ME!!! Love the show!! Hell, love just about any show that isn't a rerun right now LOL!!
I called it at the beginning who was gonna get voted off. I think his weight was a disadvantage, and with 3 females and 2 males on that team, was bound to be a guy heading out lol
No way!!! Still an awesome show! And love exile island twist too!
We'll agree to disagree.
I think it's nuts, going through all that, for money? now its a race thing... is it me, or is the whole world crazy?
:)
Me too, KC! I wasn't a big fan the first season. In fact, I watched only one episode - the finale, and was I hooked. I haven't missed a season since then. Only problem is it's on Thursday night and I have class. I have my DVR programmed to record every episode. That and Barefoot Contessa (love her show!). :thumb:Quote:

I will watch it this season because Cow Boy is from a town about an hour from me.
I was a big fan when Big Tom was on there because he lives in the next county and is funny as shit. Im really suprised he didnt give some one a ass whippin on the show because he is just a good old redneck.
It's great that they have such an racially diverse cast this time, but I think they messed it up by casting so many people who fit racial stereotypes (the African-American jazz musician, the overachieving Asian lawyers, Latino waiter, etc.). They could have helped debunk stereotypes just by casting more people who defied stereotypes.
Also, setting it up so that the different races will have to compete against each other and then probably be allied with their own race against other races once they merge is really a blatant attempt to manufacture racial conflict even where it doesn't necessarily exist--it would have been more interesting, and socially progressive, to have one of each race on each team and see if team alliances could trump racial alliances.
I think, it will cause alot of racist remarks from other sides.. we are all humans, our soul has no color, but we want to end racsim, why have it on tv, and for pete sake, for money!?!
but those are my thoughts...
Good point.... :thumb:
I doubt that they will continue for very long with the race divided tribes.
The show has been known for unpredictable twists.
In the last show they divided them up by age and gender, but that didn’t last very long.
I do like to sit back and watch the show. I do know that I could never do it though. All that back stabbing and manipulation on national TV..
In the end the show ends up being as much of reality as pro wrestling.
However it is entertaining :pop2:
I used to watch Survivor all the time and I loved it. I haven't watched it in a few seasons, but if I get cable anytime soon then I'll try and tune in.
I like Survivor and I don't think that the racial twist will be a big "thang". It's going to come down to personalities.
I like it. The only thing wrong that I see with the show is this. They are on an island for 30 somethin days right? None of the creature comforts of home etc. If they are roughing it so bad, how come the women have clean shaven pit, legs and the rabbits fur never escapes the cage after that many days. They have to be doing something for these people. I still like to watch it though.
