This is kind of a surprise, he's only 31 and at the top of his game right now. He says he has other interests that he wants to pursue, and thats good, especially since alot of them are community oriented. Its a little out of the ordinary with todays athletes, especially since he'd be leaving 8+ mil on the table...

For some, money isn't everything! Good for him if he means what he says and says what he means.

I doubt he retires. Nobody that has said it in the middle of the season has left unless it was injury related. Me thinks this is a ploy for more money after having a career season.

I really don't think so. I don't know him personally but he's from my town. He makes a ton of appearances around the city. I don't get a real cocky, money - is - everything vibe from him.

With all the promotional ads and commercials he's doing, he's probably sitting on an insane amount of money! No wonder he's thinking about retiring...
