CSI: Miami
I dont know about any of you other guys, but I have a strange fixation with CSI: Miami. I just LOVE the show
(Or more accurately, Horatio is my true hero!)
But, a bit more relavent to policing, in the lab scenes, I see loose hair and clothing all over the place! Surely this is way different in the "real" world?

Yeah don't fall victim to the "CSI Effect." Now that these shows are on tv all the time over here in the States a lot of people think that's how it's actually done. The CSI shows, though entertaining, make it appear as though it's that easy.
There's nothing wrong with liking and watching the show. Just watch it, take in what you can, and enjoy it for what it is. But don't be misled and think that a double-murder can be solved in an hour! haha. It takes months and sometimes years....or is never solved at all. CSI the tv shows just play up the field for all it's worth...literally.Calm Like A Bomb...

I love CSI (Vegas is my favorite) and like Jewell said. It's good entertainment, but FAR from reality. Our crime tech drives a 1970s Dodge van, not a brand new Yukon or Hummer

The bit I like the best is when Horatio is standing in front of a crime scene, and then he says something like "What do we have here Mr Wolfe?", when its very obvious that its a man lying on the floor with a massive knife in his back, and that he is slightly dead.
And then he puts his sunglasses on, and the title credits play, and I wet myself with laughter.

The sunglasses are classic. Same as the ending Horatio moral speech (and the sunglasses)
