OK Rational you have already that your opinions dont come from being there. So I assume they come from; your upbringing, Professors/teachers, friends, media, and internet. So why cant you take from some experts who work it and see it everyday that its not going to solve anything.

There never is just the one person that od's. there is so many more than just that person.

You want to make all drugs legal. so we then spend all our money on the health care of drug addicts. So we can then tax it and you or others can complain about all the taxes in this country. So we can add more people to welfare because they cant hold down a job because they are hooked on drugs. Making it legal is not the answer.

No we wont win the war on drugs, or drunk driving, or terrorism, or violent crime, or a million other things we fight each and every day. But making any of it legal isnt the answer. Maybe it is time to look at doing something else. But you wont get a bunch of cops to agree thats it to make it legal. Not with what we deal with each and everyday, and what we see each and every day.

So continue smoking your bong in the closet and put your efforts to something more sensible and worth while.

A doper that ODs has a significant impact on other. They just don't drop on the side of the road and picked up with the garbage.

When there is an OD many times people will call 911 (is it an OD? Are they Doctors? No, all they know is someone is in "trouble") That 911 call will cause a response that may even kill the people attending to it. An OD gets no less of a response than a person having a heart attack, because joe average has no idea what an "OD" looks like.

You are sick of your tax dollars being wasted? Well, currently your US tax dollars are funding nearly 40% ($540+ Billion) of the US healthcare system.

Imagine increase healthcare expenses, increased health risks, increased addictions, increased unemployment and an increase of the unemployable, and that's what legalization/decriminalization will get you.

Peel the layers of the onion of a few more times and try looking at the bigger issues.
