If you display a Thin Blue Line sticker and are not a cop, then I have a low opinion of you to say the least.

TBL stickers were meant to show cops that people in their POV are cops so if they need help, they know it's coming or where to find it.

Nowadays, it means there maybe a gun in the car, and little else.

If you have a TBL sticker and I pull you over- and you're not a cop- then you can forget about getting a warning.

Stickers don't keep you from getting tickets. Not breaking the law keeps you from getting tickets.

2) Should my sense of smell be a touch off tonight, sunshine, TBL stickers are not a "free pass". While we all know there are a smattering of those in law enforcement who seem to expect they can get away with more because of their status, not all of us operate in that manner. The great majority of us are simply proud of our profession, one in which we see more in a week than most people see in a lifetime. As such, we live within our code of ethics, on and off duty. No, I am not perfect. Yeah, I probably violated the interstate speed law on the way home by a few miles (but not with reckless abandon). Yet the only thing I expect is that any officer who may stop me treat me with the same respect I shall give him or her and will use the very discretion we are all allowed. It is ignorantly vocal folks like you that feed the fire of negativity towards those who willingly protect society at a much greater risk to their own lives than you could likely muster. If your claim is true that your sister is a law enforcement officer, clearly you don't even have an ounce of respect for your sister if you so blithely think you can take advantage of her status.

There's no such thing as a free pass. When I pull you over, I have every intention of writing the ticket. Whatever happens in between me getting back in my car and leaving determines whether there is a warning or citation. Don't try to get over on cops, we don't like it.:mad:
