no, i have other things i'd like to talk about as well. especially anabolic steroids. why are these a schedule III drug along with herion?
steroid users are typically decent people with jobs and such, nothing like crackheads. no one robs a 7-11 to pay for steroids. steroid cycles are planned out with a beginning and end.
no one says man, im going to start some crack and meth for 10 weeks, work out hard, sleep 10 hours every night, eat healthy meals every 2.5 hours and do cardio. then at the end of my cycle i am going to get bloodwork done to test my levels and make sure everyhting is A-OK.
you'll never see that from a recreational drug user.
i dont think it should be criminalized. kids shouldnt use them, certainly. and i can already hear someone saying roid rage. that is a total myth. if someone can not handle themselves then they have no business using juice. (ps - LOTS of cops juice btw)
they are not as dangerous as the media percieves either.
BUT i have gotten off topic, we'll save that for another thread

If you want to discuss why certain laws are laws, then you need to talk to the law makers not us. We enforce the laws not make them.

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me

usually the tags are not visible and if they have one at all its expired and down here...well.. not many have valid motorcycle endorsements. Pretty much every bike I have had gassing up was an arrest with impound.

to be fair, the motorcycle endorsement means nothing as far as you being qualified to ride a bike.
do you know what i had to do to get my endorsement? my road test consisted of me making two laps around the DMV parking lot. that's it. so i guess that proves that im a certified to handle a high power sports bike huh? LOL

I have a few names to call anyone who rides a motorcycle at such speeds on a public roadway...
1. suspect
2. arrestee
3. criminal
4. organ donor
5. decedent
... and I have used those names before, live and in person.

Common sense check: You came onto a law enforcement forum and publicized that you (severely) break laws designed to protect you from yourself and keep your internal organs intact, then you whine when one of them questions your intelligence?Last edited by countybear; 05-23-07 at 01:56 PM. Hey, rob! I don't remember where I read this but the FOOLISH and the DEAD never change their opinions.
Speaking of which, someone in this thread (I won't name any names but you know who you are) is being very FOOLISH when riding his "ninja" style motorcycle AKA crotch rockets AKA superbikes. I hope you don't end up very DEAD!

160 mph means that you will have traveled about 117 yards ( a little over a football field ) before you even reached for a brake lever if you perceived a threat like a vehicle pulling out or something in the road. It's too early in the day to figure a rough braking distance for a similar bike after applying brakes in an emergency, but I suspect that it would be close to the same distance or more.
AT 2 AM, in the dark, you can't even see 117 yards ahead of you, so if you get the picture, its very likely that you aren’t even going to reach a brake lever before impact if a car, cow, deer, dog, or whatever moves onto the roadway in your path.
I've owned a CBR600 and a 600RR and I've ridden just about every sport bike you can think of including a Hyabusa. IF you got a stock Ninja to 160, I would be greatly surprised and highly suspect of your sanity.Last edited by Cidp24; 05-23-07 at 02:10 PM.

I have seen guys drive that fast and I have seen the results afterwards when the human body is exposed to the laws of physics.
Sure, you can go that fast and yes you can corner better than any four wheeled vehicle out there, but there is some major drawbacks to what you are saying.
Open highway, light traffic...sure you can beat us hands down. This fact is known. When you toss in things that dont really affect our cars but affect yours...like crosswinds, road conditions (gravel on roadway), traffic...the odds arent so stacked.
If you drive that fast you are asking to be sent home in pieces and parts eventually. Sure you may make it for a while, but most riders are not that well trained or experienced and once they ride like that once or twice get a very bad case of over confidence in their abilities.
We know the tricks that you guys use. With the technology that is out there, it is possible to have video footage of you speeding by and have that footage slowed down to frame by frame and get bike description, plate and general physical features of the rider. From then on its just a matter of running the plate, finding the owner and going from there. (I mention this because our S.O. just got these radar units in their Chargers. Nice and pricey, but they did exactly what I just said they did with another crotch rocket)
Nobody can stop you from driving/riding that fast. Just be assured that we will be around to notify your next of kin when the inevitable happens."Sometimes people need a little help. Sometimes people need to be forgiven. And sometimes they need to go to jail."

You obviously haven't done much research on this topic... Heroin is a schedule I drug, steroids are schedule III. Don't know where you're getting your information, but you need to clear up your facts. Schedule I drugs have no useful medical purpose, and are not used for any medical purpose in the US. Schedule III drugs include substances that ARE considered to have some medical purpose, and ARE prescribed in the United States... even if that means that you aren't allowed to buy them at Walmart for entertainment use!
I'm calling troll on you.
Here are the facts so far:
1) You came here to do some backhanded bragging about the fact that you have a fast bike, and drive recklessly [for the record, I'm not big into ticket writing, but there is NO WAY you can justify 160mph as safe on a public highway].
2) I don't really care if you are happy that you can beat the cops in a race. Our helicopter will beat you over any distance, and so will my radio. Driving at 160mph+ on public roads will get you dead soon enough anyway.
most importantly:
You came here to stir the pot. So far all you've done is talk about how police can't catch you on your bike, and how you think your 'roids should be legal. steroids aren't healthy for recreational use, and I'll take the medical community's advice on that over your advice (no offense intended).
More importantly is the part where you mention how many cops juice (in your mind). Seeing as we are subject to random wizz-quizes at the department's mercy, I don't see this happening as you claim. Coming to a law enforcement website and stating that "lots" of cops commit felonies puts you on dangerous ground here, in my mind.
Remember, this is a LE forum. We aren't here to justify our stance on enforcing the laws. Also, we didn't write the laws.... Perhaps your congressman/woman would be a better person to approach on these issues?Last edited by Coloradocop; 05-23-07 at 02:17 PM.
