Did you go through the entire police academy, as it was being run at the time, and complete field training? Or did you receive abbreviated training at the police academy relevant to the job you held? In other words -- was the training you received at the academy all of the same training that the cops got at that time? Not "the topics covered were the same material taught to NYPD recruits", not "the instructors taught the same stuff to NYPD recruits" -- but was it the SAME academy training, start to finish? Could you have gone over to NYPD without having to attend any academy training?
