And being former Military also I dispute that, and take offence to being called a wannabe. I have more authority and power (arrest etc.) now then I ever did in the Military.

So please try and clarify what you meant by that statement.

Military referes to land warfare, Naval refers to sea warfare.
The Army and AF are military the sea services are naval.
The 1947 UCMJ confused the issue by calling all subjects military to save print.

Anyway this what I was taught in 1964. The USNI, AF, Intellegence and Army publications still make the differation.
I am an LEO by choice. I like knowing the people who do this job. We have a lot of fun and there is nothing like shared experiance to form close bonds. I have my Army pension and do not need money.

I think the main problem is you used your introductory post to take a slap at some officers, which many take offense to. This is where you make your first impression.

Well I was being a smartass too I was in the Marine Corps, and Army we always talk smack to the navy and air force.

Thats is true....I wont say what we called the Navy, its to bad. But the AF was the Air Farce.

I will say one thing about the Air Force, anytime we landed at one of thier air fields in the bush and we were going to be there for sometime, we always looked for their tents since they almost always had A/C!!!!!

Yeh, you can never make a second first impression.
I joke with my own officers about this. And I just never thought that such offense would be taken.
The Sheriff`s dept. awards Purple Hearts. One deputy has one. Guess who? I do not think that right. It diminishes the real combat Purple Hearts. Again, guess who?
It is absurd for a one man dept. chief to wear a four star general`s insignia. There is a PD four miles from me that does just that. And I have told the town cop that it is absurd. He is my cousin so I can`t get into too much trouble.
This is just my opinion. Lives are not hanging in the balance. I do regret any misunderstanding.

I mostly operated in free fire zones. I had all of the power of the DOD with a fire mission call.
If I took fire from a ville, I could and did wipe it off the face of the earth.
I certainly would not want that power as an LEO.
I do not believe that a cop has ever called an air strike in the line of police duty in this country.
We are talking apples and oranges here. LE and combat are different animals. Ask what is left of task force Smith.

WOW, from the military guys that Ive seen post in other forums, they have NOT bragged about killing an entire village or even one enemy. Its like most cops wont talk about killing someone in L.O.D.
Dont matter how good of a shoot it was , just something we dont talk about. Wasnt Ghost a game by Tom Clancy? Ghost Recon. I loved that game...
And about semantics here, YOU brought up an incoherent post akin to a .15% BAC DUI arrest. Didnt make sense.

My mistake, I was never a counter-strike player...
Now if I could get a computer that could handle a good game of Ghost Recon or CAll of Duty 2 or even if COD 3 is out...

Ghost, we are not bashing you {yet} but the posts you made were alittle out of left field and you cant back it up except with some posta about killing an entire vilalge with an airstrike YOU claim to have called in... We all thank the military, the REAL SOldiers not some gaming soldier who wants to fool people. We are also not asking for you to prove your rank etc. with photo i.d. or something. ANYONE can claim things with the invent of GOOGLE..
