OK I did a quick check of DOD Records and they only have two people who ever existed in the Military with your name..

... that doesn't mean it is you, just someone with the same name as you. Now I honestly believe that you may have served in the Armed Forces but you only made it to the rank of E-3 or E-4, which we all know is enlisted. Hardley the commissioned rank of Colonel you claim to achieved.

I did a check of your father, who you claim was in WWII, and there is NO record whatsoever of an Elmer ***** being in any military branch.
