    New kinda.....

    Im "NEW" to this site but I come from another site which shall remain annonymos
    I am in week 17 or so of the Southern Desert Regional Police Academy (sdrpa) I am hired by The City of Henderson here in Nevada.

    We have Practicals next wednesday thursday and friday which will be lovely and I cant wait to get to FTO in a lil while.

    Thank you all so much..... Yeah Practicals "Shouldnt" be too bad. Right now the scenario traning we are doing they say is WAY above what practicals will be like. For instance, some of the scenario outcomes is for the suspect to TRY to shoot you. The practicals arent going to be like that. More of cut and dry DUI, Domestic, Felony car stop, Felon on foot, Sexual Assault or set up a crime scene, Unknown Risk Car stop etc. Nothing that is going to make you go WTF?

    But I will advise the outcome pending the experience of it next week.

    Just remember there is no such thing as a routine traffic stop. They all have little things that set them apart from each other. Plus you never know what will happen at any one time.

    Oh of course. But at the Academy they arent going to do anything crazy and it will probably be something simple. I know in the real world apart from the academy anything can and will happen because that is the way things go.
