I am new to this forum. I am a former Gunny with the USMC and I now work at Miami Correctional Facility in Indiana. I have never seen such a clusterfuck in all my life. My fellow staff have no backbone, they pander to the offenders and management is more concerned with lawsuits than officer security. The only was to make rank is to get beat down(every officer assaulted at he facility has been slingshot up the ranks)by offenders. When I get a decent officer, a stand-up guy, he/she gets disciplined and/or transferred to a bad assignment. It all about hug-a-thug. I am looking at other jobs right now.

How ironic. I watched Lockup on MSNBC the other night and it was about your facility. Based on what I saw and heard, I have no doubt you are absolutely correct. Of course, the producers won't show that side of the story, but if one pays close enough attention, one gets a good idea that things are not as they seem.
