    Smile I'm New

    Hey everyone, My name is Matt and I currently live in West Covina, CA. In about a month i'm going to apply for LASD and LAPD. I may apply for CHP but im debating that currently (maybe you can change my mind, or open my mind to applying to CHP)...

    I'm currently just working for mall security right now but its just a job. I also do Computer Repair in my spare time (Extra gas money).

    But currently im just trying to get my life in order, I have a few speeding tickets (over a year or two) that i need to get taken care of and I want to get a new car (preferably a truck)... so until then I'm going to be stuck being 10-7 like everyone else. As soon as I get into any P.D. I'll let you all know. I can't wait either.

    But anyhow, im tired and im off to bed. Good Night Everyone and Take Care (any Cops on Duty, drive safely and have a good shift)

    Welcome... As for CHP if you want to drive around all day, write tickets and do butt loads of vehicle accidents then have at it. Now if you want more excitement go to LAPD and if you want even more excitment, more career choices and a bit more respect as a officer in CA go to LASD. I know a few guys that left LAPD for LASD and have enjoyed it very much!!
    Just because your sign off after you're shift is done, doesn't mean that it's over and put blinders on. You're a cop 24/7 wether you like it or not. If thats something you can't handle, you should find a new line of work!
