New member arrived.
Hi everyone,
I'm Micheal O'Sullivan.
I am currently 21 years of age and I currently live in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. I have just started my journey towards a career with the Melbourne, Victoria Police.
I am currently a fulltime student at Chisholm tafe completing my forth year in Programming and Website development. I am doing this course as it's an area I am good at and it's a great learning experience for me while I am applying for the Victoria Police. It usually takes around one year to get through the recruiting process before you are even considered to be taken into the academy.
After joining the Victoria Police I hope to apply for the SOG (Special Operations group) I must be a Constable for four years before I can apply to join the SOG, and to this, I am told, and know for a fact that the SOG is extremely hard to get into, but I will get there.
Overall I love Melbourne and I love Australia. I have joined this site as I am very interested reading things from a different perspective, and to hear what people have to say and there opinions.
I have seen the "Cops" show down here!! And I love it. We do have shows like that here in Australia, but there no way as near as entertaining as Cops.
I hope to hear many more thing from you all, and learn many thing along they way.
Thanks and cheers,
Micheal.Never Argue With Idoits. They Will Drag You Down To Their Level, And Beat You With Experience.

Welcome!

A Smile
A smile cost nothing, but gives so much.
It enriches those who receive it,without making poorer those who give.It takes but a moment, but the memoryof it sometimes lasts forever.
None is so rich or mighty that hecan get along without it,and none is so poor but thathe can be made rich by it.
A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters goodwill in business, and is the countersign of friendship.
It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad,and it is nature's best antidote for trouble.
Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed,or stolen, for it is something that is of novalue to anyone until it is given away.
Some people are too tired to give you a smile.Give them one of yours, as none needs a smileso much as he who has no more to give.

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion
