hello
hi everyone. my name's danny. i work as a security officer for the wackenhut corporation. right now i'm in the process of becoming a law enforcement officer. i have an interview with one of the departments i applied to on tuesday. i'm so excited. my dream is to become a member of a tactical unit such as swat or street narcotics. right now i just have to make it through the hiring process. quick question: how long does it usually take to get a call from a police dept. after submitting an application? i submitted my applications 2 weeks ago and have only received a call from 1 dept. anyways, i hope to keep in touch with everyone throughout the hiring process and in the academy if i get hired. take care.

Hey Danny, welcome to LEF. What state do you live in? I live right near a Wackenhut facility here in DE and have a friend who works for them also.
Call backs from departments can vary. Some might call you back within a few days, sometimes it might be week or even months. It really depends on the size of the department and whether or not they're currently hiring.
