Changed my name
Been lurking around for a while after a hiatus and change of agencies. I am employed by the DA as a civilian officer and like the change of pace. Used to work at an airport and didn't really like sitting at check points all shift.
Been in the business for five years and hope to stick around 15 more.

Used to go by airportcop. I have been around a few other LE forums so I am used to crazies. I also hang-out with a bunch of "old" Jarheads at a different forum. I am glad I am not the only one who hear the voices.

The force that propels you to prevail when you are put to a test of survival will be a mindset that refuses to accept nothing but winning.
Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to reach out and bitch slap that motherf*cker upside the head.

It isn't bad considering what I was doing before. At least we get to respond to propper calls vice releasing lost and found.
The work environment is much better even if I have to work with a bunch of "Joes". Now I don't have to deal with whiney travelers who missed their flights.

Heck, those are easy to deal with.
"We have no control over YOU being late for your flight. Check with your airline. Maybe they can re-book you tomorrow."
"Oh, you want to argue with TSA? No problem. You aren't flying today!"
"Got a problem with that? Now you're creating a disturbance. Leave my airport! Your ride or ours - your choice."
See - isn't that easy?
Oh, and welcome to the nuthouse. Have fun.

at one time I thought of going to the LAX Police... then I got rid of my fiance. I like the thrill of riding code 3, not setting a perimeter around a diaper bag
