hi there, im new
suellen446 is my id, that's my dogs name with my badge number.
my name is kristine or kris, which ever suits you better. im married and have 2 grown sons. have 4 dogs, 8 puppies, 4 cats, and a parrot. (any one looking for a pit bull pup, contact me right away, lol)
i work full time as a police dispatcher in a small town, and i work part time as 911 dispatcher at a county sheriffs office. also a small department, a very rural area.
i love my jobs, family tradition. my dad was a police dispatcher in a much larger city for 28 years and built a reputation for being the best of the best. hard shoes to follow in. but i try. i think one of his proudest moments was when i came to him and told him that i was going on to dispatch too. it feels good to make them proud doesnt it.
one of my dispatcher friends from myspace told me about this site, and i have to say that i was really pleased to find it. i'm looking forward to making some good friend, having a good time, and maybe learning a few things along the way.
i'm not very good at expressing myself with writen words like this, but i'm getting better, i'll try not to bore you all to death, or to ask too many stupid questions.
if there is anything you want to know about me just ask away, i'm not shy. and i dont mind telling the truth even if it hurts sometimes. i figure that if you try to hide dirty laundry it is just going to start to stink. lol so my life is an open book.
i will tell you that i am loyal and honest, i dont go behind peoples backs, and i appreciate the same treatment from others.
enough for now i guess, just came off the night shift and it's way past my bedtime. hoping for a long and enjoyable relationship with the folks here, hope you like me too

Hi and Welcome!
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. - Leo Buscaglia

Welcome Kris, I am a former dispatcher, now in corrections. I know how difficult dispatching can be, you get a lot of credit for the job. Enjoy the site, there is a great bunch of folks here, most of us are certifiable, but lovable. Come join us in the chatroom some night.
My dad, I miss him every day.

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

Hello, welcome to LEF!

A Smile
A smile cost nothing, but gives so much.
It enriches those who receive it,without making poorer those who give.It takes but a moment, but the memoryof it sometimes lasts forever.
None is so rich or mighty that hecan get along without it,and none is so poor but thathe can be made rich by it.
A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters goodwill in business, and is the countersign of friendship.
It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad,and it is nature's best antidote for trouble.
Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed,or stolen, for it is something that is of novalue to anyone until it is given away.
Some people are too tired to give you a smile.Give them one of yours, as none needs a smileso much as he who has no more to give.
